Senator Aliero Hails Launch of LEAD FM in Kebbi, Urges Strong Ethical Standards in Journalism

His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Muhammad Adamu Aliero, CON, has commended the establishment of LEAD FM in Kebbi State, describing the radio station as a significant development that will contribute to the growth of the media industry, public enlightenment and societal development.
Senator Aliero made the remarks while gracing the commissioning of LEAD FM, established by Alhaji Shuaibu Mungadi at Gesse Phase One, Birnin Kebbi Kebbi State.
The commissioning ceremony was witnessed by His Excellency, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, (Kauran Gwandu), Executive Governor of Kebbi State, alongside the Emirs of Gwandu, Argungu, Yauri and Zuru, as well as other distinguished personalities, government officials, traditional rulers and community leaders.
LEAD FM was established with the objective of promoting peace, security, political stability and responsible information dissemination across Northern Nigeria and the country at large.
Speaking at the occasion, Senator Aliero commended Alhaji Shuaibu Mungadi for his vision and initiative in establishing the radio station, describing it as a welcome development and a valuable investment in the media sector of Kebbi State.
He noted that the station would provide an important platform for meaningful communication, public enlightenment and constructive engagement, while also creating opportunities for young people and media professionals.
Senator Aliero urged the management and staff of LEAD FM to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and ethical journalism in their operations.
He specifically charged the station to ensure that all information disseminated to the public is authentic, accurate, balanced and properly verified, stressing that the media has a great responsibility to inform the public without compromising the truth.
The Senator further encouraged LEAD FM to use its platform to promote peace, unity, development, peaceful coexistence and national understanding, particularly at a time when responsible journalism is crucial to the stability and progress of the nation.
He congratulated Alhaji Shuaibu Mungadi, the management and staff of LEAD FM on the successful commissioning and wished the station continued growth and success in its service to Kebbi State, Northern Nigeria and the country at large.
